Our first meeting in Brussels and Lille for our Erasmus+ Gender Matters project
From 30 November to 7 December 2019 we hosted the first meeting of our Erasmus+ project “Genders Matters”. The theme was “gender stereotypes”. After spending two days in Brussels: Visit of the European Parliament and meeting with a Member of the European Parliament (M.Gahler), visit of the House of European History, we all met at the high school. The morning was devoted to a theatre workshop, directed by a professional actor, Marc Duport, which ended on Friday afternoon, 6 December, with a 20-minute performance in front of more than 80 pupils of the high school. A great challenge, and a great success for these 15 high school students from Turkey (Özel Takev Okullari, Samsun in Turkey), Germany (Friedrich Dessauer Gymnasium in Frankfurt Am Main, Germany) and France who hardly knew each other a few days ago. The afternoons were the occasion to visit Lille, the Palais des Beaux Arts and the exhibition “Boys/girls equal opportunities” at the CDI.
A beautiful adventure, both European and artistic, which will continue in May 2020 at the Özel Takev Okullari High School in Samsun, Turkey. Unfortunately cancelled due to the health crisis
